Works best on textures, tiles and painted art (not pixel-art sprites). Transparent PNGs keep their alpha. Thousands of files? Use the command-line engine. Large images are processed in tiles. 🔒 Your image never leaves your device.

How it works

  1. Trained on hundreds of free (CC0) game textures: bricks, wood, metal, ground, fabric.
  2. Each was artificially damaged (blur, downscaling, noise, compression) so the network learns to undo exactly that.
  3. A compact generator rebuilds the detail at 4× resolution, right here in your browser.

For engineers: compact ESRGAN/Real-ESRGAN-style generators trained from scratch in PyTorch (L1 then GAN stage), exported to ONNX. Code and full benchmark.
